  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • nuts - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • jam - 1 c
  • jelly - 1 c
  • lemon flavor - 1 tsp
  • each cinnamon, allspice and cloves - 1 tsp

How to make fruit cake:

Makes 2 large cakes. Mix well and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until cake springs back when touched.
