Frosted raspberry salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- carton sour cream - 1 oz
- boiling water - 1 c
- can crushed pineapple, undrained - 1 1/2
- can whole cranberry sauce - 1 oz
- Port wine - 3/4 c
- chopped pecans, divided - 1 c
How to make frosted raspberry salad:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add cranberry sauce, stirring with a wire whisk until smooth. Stir in pineapple and wine and spoon into a lightly oiled 12 x 8 x 2-inch dish. Chill until firm.Combine cream cheese and sugar; stir until combined. Stir in sour cream. Reserve 2 tablespoons nuts for garnish. Stir remaining pecans into cream cheese mixture. Spread topping over salad and sprinkle with pecans. Chill well.
