Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pumpkin - 1 c
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- light brown sugar - 3/4 c
- beaten eggs - 4 item
- powdered sugar, sifted
- cream or evaporated milk - 6 Tbsp
- light salad oil - 1 c
- Add sifted dry ingredients and pour into greased and floured jelly roll pan 11 x 17 x 1-inch
How to make frosted pumpkin bars:
Beat eggs; whisk in salad oil and sugar, then pumpkin. Add sifted dry ingredients and pour into greased and floured jelly roll pan (11 x 17 x 1-inch). Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.Frosting:4 Tbsp. melted butter6 Tbsp. cream or evaporated milk3/4 c. light brown sugar1 3/4 c. powdered sugar, sifted1/2 tsp. vanilla Boil melted butter, evaporated milk and light brown sugar for 1 minute.
