Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar
  • baking powder
  • chocolate chips
  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • powdered sugar - 4 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • creamy peanut butter

How to make frosted peanut butter bars:

Frosting:2/3 c. creamy peanut butter1/2 c. shortening4 c. powdered sugar1/3 to 1/2 c. milk Topping:1/4 c. chocolate chips1 Tbsp. shortening Cream peanut butter, shortening and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add gradually to creamed mixture. Add milk and mix well. Put in greased 15 x 10 baking pan. Bake at 350° for 16 to 20 minutes (toothpick in center clean). Cool.

Frosting: Cream peanut butter, shortening and powdered sugar. Gradually beat in milk to spreading consistency. Frost bars.

Melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over frosting. Refrigerate.
