Frosted cauliflower
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- paprika - 1 item
- prepared mustard - 1 2
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- medium head cauliflower - 1 item
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
How to make frosted cauliflower:
Remove woody base from cauliflower, leaving cauliflower whole. Cook cauliflower in 1 1/2-quart glass dish with 2 tablespoons of water and 1/2 teaspoon salt for 6 to 7 minutes per pound, covered. Rotate dish 1/4 turn halfway through cooking time. Rest, covered, for 5 minutes and season as desired.In a 2-cup mixing bowl, mix mayonnaise, salt, mustard and heat 1 minute. Spread over cooked cauliflower. Sprinkle with cheese and heat 1 minute until cheese melts. Sprinkle with paprika and serve.
