Frog eye salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- miniature marshmallows - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- crushed pineapple - 20 oz
- pineapple juice - 2/3 c
- cans mandarin oranges - 2 item
- Martha Gooch acine di pepe macaroni - 1 c
- chuck pineapple - 20 oz
- dairy whipped topping - 8 oz
How to make frog eye salad:
In a small saucepan mix sugar, flour and salt. Stir in pineapple juice and egg. Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Add lemon juice. Set aside and cool. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Combine cooked mixture with macaroni. Cover and place in refrigerator until chilled. Combine drained fruit, whipped topping and marshmallows.
