Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 6 c
  • eggs - 1 doz
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • can crushed pineapple with juice - 1 oz
  • juice
  • can peaches, cut up with juice - 1 oz
  • can apricots, cut up with juice - 1 item
  • can maraschino cherries no juice - 20 oz
  • boxes yellow or white Pillsbury cake mix with pudding - 3 item

How to make friendship cake:

Will also need gallon jar. Do not refrigerate. Keep lid loose.

Day 1: Mix juice, peaches with juice and 2 cups of sugar. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Stir once a day for 10 days.

Day 10: Add apricots, crushed pineapple and 2 cups of sugar. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Stir once a day for 10 days.

Day 20: Add cherries and 2 cups of sugar. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Stir once a day for 10 days.

Day 30: Strain juice from fruit. Keep the juice. Combine cake mixes, oil, eggs and 2 cups of juice. Put all the fruit in. Mix by hand. Then you can add nuts, if you wish. Bake at 300° until done.

Divide the juice up and put in freezer until you get ready to use it again.
