Fried zucchini
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 to
- large green squash - 2 item
- whole eggs or 6 egg whites to cut out fat and cholesterol - 4 item
- bread crumbs plain or seasoned, whichever you like best - 1 item
- vegetable oil or butter for frying - 1 item
How to make fried zucchini:
Perfect side dish or finger snacks. Kids love them.Slice squash about 1/4-inch thick. Cover with flour on both sides; dip into egg mixture and let sit about 30 seconds. Remove squash from egg mix and cover with bread crumbs. Place enough oil or butter into skillet to cover squash. Fry until golden brown.
If you prefer not to use bread crumbs at all, just re-flour after egg dip for a lighter batter.
