Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- medium ripe green tomatoes - 6 item
How to make fried tomatoes:
Slice tomatoes 1/2-inch thick. Beat egg slightly and season with salt and pepper. Dip tomato into the crumbs, then into the egg, then back into the crumbs. Fry in a small amount of grease in a skillet until brown on both sides.Recipe categories: Low fat, Side dish, Vegetables.
