Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 1/3 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- dry bread crumbs - 1 c
- firm tomatoes green or red - 4 item
How to make fried tomatoes:
Cut tomatoes into 3/4-inch slices. Dip into egg and then into crumbs. Melt butter in skillet. Add tomato slices and cook until golden brown on each side. Season to taste with salt and pepper.Recipe categories: Low fat, Side dish, Vegetables.
