Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1 item
  • frozen peas and carrots - 1 pkg
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • uncooked rice - 2 c
  • choice of pork, chicken, ham or shrimp - 1 item

How to make fried rice:

Cook rice with water on medium heat until all water is gone. Turn to low. Stir the rice. Cover for 15 to 20 minutes; set aside. Beat eggs, one at a time; fry in large skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter. Cut into strips and set aside. Chop onion; fry in small amount of oil until it is clear. To this, add the chopped meat of choice and cook until the meat is done. Set aside.

Cook the frozen vegetables according to package directions; drain. In large skillet, put 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the rice and stir, then add the cooked meat and fry for about 10 minutes, stirring often. Add the chopped egg, salt and pepper. Add the cooked meat; fry for about 10 minutes, stirring often. Add the chopped egg, salt and pepper. Add the cooked vegetables and soy sauce to taste. Ready to serve. Serves about 6 to 8.
