- corn meal - 3/4 c
- bacon fat - 1 item
- small fresh okra pods - 1 lb
How to make fried okra:
Wash okra and cut off the ends of the pods. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Moisten slightly and shake in paper bag, containing corn meal and salt and pepper. Fry in hot bacon fat until golden brown.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
