Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- cornmeal - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- fresh okra, sliced - 1 lb
- green tomatoes, diced - 1/2 c
How to make fried okra:
Mix cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper. Cut stems off okra and slice. Coat okra in flour mixture. Coat tomatoes and mix with okra. Fry in hot skillet until golden brown.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
