Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 2
- buttermilk - 1 item
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- cooking oil - 1 item
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- sliced okra - 4 c
How to make fried okra:
Put sliced okra in large bowl. Add salt and pepper. Pour enough buttermilk to cover okra. Mix well. Put in the refrigerator about 30 minutes. Then drain buttermilk off okra. Roll in flour and drop in hot oil until brown.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
