Fried ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- flaked coconut - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- cornflakes, crushed
- vanilla ice cream, softened - 1 qt
- chopped nuts peanuts, walnuts or pecans - 1/2 c
How to make fried ice cream:
Heat sugar and margarine in saucepan until melted. Add rest of ingredients, except ice cream. Stir well. Press 1/2 of mixture in an 11 x 7-inch pan (or 9 x 9-inch pan). Spread with ice cream. Top with rest of mixture. Freeze. Before serving, remove dessert from freezer approximately 20 minutes to soften slightly.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Frozen desserts.
