Fried ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
- square carton chocolate chip ice cream
- boxes any multi-grain flake cereal, crushed - 2 item
- to 5 beaten eggs - 4 item
How to make fried ice cream:
Cut ice cream into 4 equal pieces. Form ice cream into round balls with your hands. Mix crushed cereal and cinnamon. Roll each ice cream ball into cereal mixture and freeze overnight until hard.Next day, roll ice cream balls in beaten eggs until coated; roll for a second coat in leftover cereal mixture. Freeze until ready to use (up to 4 months).
To fry: Using a deep fryer or 2-quart saucepan, fill it 2/3 with cooking oil. Heat oil hot enough to fry. Lower 2 ice cream balls in oil for 20 to 25 seconds. Remove from oil and place on plate or bowl with whipped cream or Cool Whip and a cherry.
