- salt - 1 tsp
- salad oil - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- corn meal - 1/2 c
- large green tomatoes, sliced - 4 item
How to make fried green tomatoes:
Slice tomatoes in 1/4-inch slices. Combine salt, pepper and corn meal; dredge tomato slices. Place in a heavy skillet of hot oil. Fry slowly until brown, turning once. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
