Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- vegetable oil - 1 item
- cornmeal - 1 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- egg, beaten slightly - 1 item
- medium sized green tomatoes, sliced - 6 item
How to make fried green tomatoes:
Combine milk and egg; mix well. Stir together cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper. Dip tomato slices into egg mixture, then into cornmeal mixture. Fry tomato slices in hot oil until browned. Turn once.
