- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/3 c
- flour - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- oil for frying - 1 item
- or 5 green tomatoes - 4 item
- cracker crumbs, very finely crushed - 1 item
How to make fried green tomatoes:
Wash and cut unpared tomatoes into slices about 1/3-inch thick. Beat eggs and milk. Dip tomatoes into flour, then egg mixture, then roll in cracker crumbs. Fry in skillet with hot oil until brown on both sides. Salt and pepper to taste.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
