Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/3 c
- water - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- light brown sugar - 1/3 c
- Red Delicious or Rome apples - 6 item
How to make fried apples:
Peel, core and slice apples into thick slices. Place in skillet with the water and butter. Cook over moderate heat, stirring to prevent sticking, until barely tender. Sprinkle with brown sugar and lemon juice. Toss, cover and let stand 10 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.Note: You can also double recipe.
