Fresh tomato sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- parsley, chopped - 1 Tbsp
- coarsely ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- medium tomatoes, peeled - 5 item
How to make fresh tomato sauce:
Chop tomatoes, removing seeds. Saut?© onion in margarine. Stir in tomatoes, garlic, parsley, salt, basil and pepper. Puree mixture in food processor or blender. Serve over pasta or fresh vegetables. Makes 2 1/2 cups.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Condiments, etc..
