  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • salad oil - 1 c
  • ketchup - 1/3 c
  • can water chestnuts - 1 item
  • fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1 c
  • hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 4 item
  • bacon, fried and crumbled - 1/2 lb
  • can Chinese vegetables - 1 item
  • dark vinegar - 1/2 c
  • If using blender, omit the bacon and add when blender stops
  • Bermuda or Vidalia onion, sliced - 1 item

How to make fresh spinach salad:

Shake all together in jar, or use blender. If using blender, omit the bacon and add when blender stops. Chill. Mix with the following just before serving. Makes very large bowlful.
