Ingredients/Components
- chopped pears or 4 c - 3 c
- salad oil - 3/4 c
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans optional - 1 c
- Sift all dry ingredients and add to mixture
- margarine - 1/2 stick
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
How to make fresh pear cake:
Mix oil and sugar; blend in vanilla and eggs. Sift all dry ingredients and add to mixture. Add pears and nuts (optional). Mix well. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Cook 45 minutes in 350° oven. Cool and ice with Cream Cheese Icing. Cut into 24 squares.Cream Cheese Icing:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/2 stick (4 oz.) margarine1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Have cream cheese at room temperature.
