  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • orange juice - 1/2 c
  • crushed fresh peaches about 4 - 2 c
  • vanilla or use half almond extract - 1 tsp

How to make fresh peach sauce:

In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, mix crushed peaches, sugar and orange juice. Place over high heat and stir until boiling. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes or until thick without covering. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice and extract. Makes 2 cups. Serve warm on pound cake or chill the sauce to make up parfaits to place in freezer for future use.
