- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- egg yolks - 3 item
- unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- stick melted butter - 1 item
- Meringue:3 egg whites
- fresh ripe sliced peaches - 2 c
How to make fresh peach pie:
Meringue:3 egg whites6 Tbsp. sugar Combine the first 5 ingredients; fold in peaches and pour into the unbaked pie shell. Bake in a preheated 300° oven for 45 to 60 minutes until almost set. Cool. Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff, not dry. Spread onto cooled pie and bake at 300° until light brown (this could take up to 30 minutes in the 300° oven).Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
