Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- granulated sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/4 1/3
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- soft butter - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- sweetened, sliced and peeled peaches - 4 c
How to make fresh peach cobbler:
Batter Topping for Peach Cobbler:1/2 c. flour1/2 c. sugar1/2 tsp. baking powder1/4 tsp. salt2 Tbsp. soft butter1 egg, slightly beaten Mix cornstarch, sugar and water. Add peaches and cook until mixture is thickened (about 15 minutes). Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into an 8-inch baking dish. Top with spoonfuls of Batter Topping. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400° for 40 to 50 minutes.Batter Topping: Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth. Drop by spoon. Mixture will spread during baking.
