  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • pkg - 3 oz
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • water
  • powdered sugar - 1/4 c
  • whipped cream for topping - 1 item
  • fresh berries - 1 qt

How to make fresh fruit pie:

Filling:1 c. sugar1 1/2 c. water3 Tbsp. cornstarch3 oz. pkg. Jell-O (to match berries)1 qt. fresh berries whipped cream (for topping) Crust: Mix all ingredients together. Pat into pie pan. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Filling: Place berries into cooled pie shell. Boil water, sugar and cornstarch until clear. Add Jell-O; stir until dissolved. Let cool and pour over the berries in the cooled pie shell. Refrigerate until firm. Top with whipped cream.

This recipe is wonderful with blackberries and strawberries!
