Ingredients/Components
- cooking oil
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- sifted flour - 3 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- large apples, cut in small pieces - 3 item
- Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla
- light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 2 Tbsp
How to make fresh apple pound cake:
Combine oil, sugar and eggs; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans. Bake in tube pan that has been greased and floured at 350° about 1 1/2 hours. Let cool 20 minutes. Pour sauce over cake while it is still warm.Sauce:1 stick oleo1/2 c. light brown sugar2 Tbsp. milk Boil about 2 minutes. Pour over cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
