Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- corn oil
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- apples, finely chopped - 2 c
How to make fresh apple pound cake:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 x 4 Bundt pan. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, cream together oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Gradually add flour mixture and beat until smooth. Fold in apples and pecans. Pour into prepared Bundt pan and bake for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until done. Let cake cool about 20 minutes. While cake is cooling prepare icing by bringing all remaining ingredients to a boil and boiling 2 minutes. Pour over cake while icing is hot.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
