Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- oil
- soda
- buttermilk - 1/4 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- pecans - 1 to
- lemon juice
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- peeled and chopped apples - 3 c
- Beat well
How to make fresh apple cake with caramel glaze:
Combine sugar, oil, vanilla, eggs, lemon juice and salt in mixing bowl. Beat well. Combine flour, spices and soda. Add to first mixture and beat well. Add apples and pecans, mixing well. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 375° for 1 1/2 hours.Glaze:1/2 c. sugar1/4 c. buttermilk1/2 tsp. soda1 Tbsp. cornstarch1/4 c. butter1/4 tsp. vanilla Combine in saucepan.
