Fresh apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- cold water - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
- a little cinnamon - 1 item
- apples, chopped fine - 2 c
- Dissolve the soda in 1 or 2 teaspoons water
How to make fresh apple cake:
Mix apples, sugar and salt; let stand 10 to 13 minutes. Dissolve the soda in 1 or 2 teaspoons water. Add soda, egg, oil and nuts to apples. Sift flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to apples. Mix well. Bake in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.Spicy Vanilla Sauce:1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour1 c. cold water2 Tbsp. butter1 tsp. vanilla a little cinnamon Combine first 3 ingredients. Cook until clear and thickened. Blend in butter, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over Apple Cake. Sauce will be thin.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
