  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • butter or margarine - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • finely chopped apples - 4 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • Stir to mix and let stand at least 30 minutes

How to make fresh apple cake:

Place apples in mixing bowl and add sugar. Stir to mix and let stand at least 30 minutes. Add oil and eggs to apples and stir to blend. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for about 40 to 45 minutes.

Can be served with whipped cream topping or the following icing.Icing:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/4 c. butter or margarine1 lb. box powdered sugar2 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla Beat cream cheese, butter or margarine, powdered sugar and milk together. Add vanilla. Spread on cake.
