Fresh apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar
- butter - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- apples, sliced - 4 item
- canned milk - 1/4 c
- small can apple juice - 1 item
How to make fresh apple cake:
Caramel Sauce:1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. sugar1/4 c. canned milk1/4 c. butter1/2 c. shortening1 c. chopped nuts Mix dry ingredients in large bowl and stir until cinnamon is well mixed. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add eggs and apple juice; stir together. Stir in apples and nuts. Mix together until blended well. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Top with Caramel Sauce.Caramel Sauce: Mix ingredients; bring to a boil slowly, stirring constantly.
