  • milk - 1/4 c
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 2 Tbsp

How to make french toast:

Beat eggs thoroughly. Add milk and water. Dip bread slices in the mixture and fry on a hot greased griddle until golden brown. Serve hot with syrup.
