Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • brown sugar, firmly packed - 1/4 c
  • can pears, drained - 1 lb

How to make french pear pudding:

Heat oven to 350°. Beat eggs slightly in small bowl. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Mix sugar and 1 tablespoon flour. Add these ingredients to sour cream mixture; mix well. Quarter pears and arrange in a shallow baking dish. Top with sour cream mixture and bake for 15 minutes.

While pudding bakes, combine brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour and nutmeg. In a second small bowl, cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles cornmeal. Sprinkle over pudding and bake 15 minutes more.
