  • butter or margarine - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • large onions, thinly sliced - 4 item
  • cans condensed beef broth - 3 1/2
  • toasted bread - 1 item

How to make french onion soup:

Cook onions in butter until lightly browned, about 20 minutes. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle toast with cheese; place under broiler until cheese is lightly browned. Pour soup in bowls and fl
