French onion soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- French bread - 1 item
- Swiss cheese, sliced - 1 item
- large onions - 3 item
- cooking wine white - 1/4 c
- beef broth beef consomme - 6 c
How to make french onion soup:
Saute onions and butter, then add remainder of ingredients and simmer. Toast French bread with garlic salt. When simmered and ready to eat, pour soup in bowl. Top with toasted bread and layer 2 slices or more of sliced Swiss cheese. Put under broiler and melt cheese. Enjoy!Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Meat, French.
