Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce
- large onions, chopped - 6 item
- bay leaves - 3 item
- slices French bread, toasted - 10 item
- cans condensed beef broth undiluted - 6 1/2
- shredded Parmesan and Mozzarella cheeses - 1 item
How to make french onion soup:
In a large skillet, saut?© onions in butter until crisp-tender. Transfer to an ungreased 5-quart slow cooker. Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or until the onions are tender. Discard bay leaves. Top each serving with French bread and cheeses.
