- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- sifted flour - 6 6
- warm water - 1/4 c
- cornmeal - 1 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- envelope onion soup mix - 1 item
- active yeast - 1 pkg
- shortening or salad oil - 1 Tbsp
How to make french onion bread:
Soften dry yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Combine soup mix and 2 cups water; simmer covered 10 minutes. Add sugar, salt, cheese and shortening; stir. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in 2 cups flour; beat well. Stir in yeast. Add enough of the remaining flour tRecipe categories: Breads, Side dish, Cheese.
