French meat pie
Ingredients/Components
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- poultry seasoning - 2 tsp
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- ground beef or turkey - 1 lb
- water hot - 1 c
- pieces day old bread - 7 item
How to make french meat pie:
Brown meat, onion and celery; mix in poultry seasoning. Heat water. Add bouillon cube; mix until melted. Break bread into water. Add to meat mixture. A large can of whole potatoes, chopped small, can be added. Simmer on low (electric frypan, if you have one) for about 2 hours.Prepare 2-crust pie crust. Add mixture to pie, 9-inch, and bake at 375° for about 1/2 hour until crust is browned.
