French fried onion rings
Ingredients/Components
- large onion - 1 item
- flour - 3/4 c
- Wesson oil - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- Idaho potatoes, wrapped in foil - 6 item
- butter or margarine to taste - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium size onions, chopped - 2 item
- fried bacon, crumbled - 1/2 lb
- sour cream - 6 Tbsp
How to make french fried onion rings:
Grease potatoes on outside before wrapping in foil and bake in preheated oven at 350° for 1 1/2 hours. You will need 3 containers, one each for the crumbled bacon, the sour cream and the chopped onions. Keep potatoes in foil and cut lengthwise inserting desired amount of butter, salt, pepper, onions, bacon and that heavenly sour cream. This makes one wonder. Do you eat to live or live to eat?
