  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • butter, melted - 6 Tbsp

How to make french breakfast puffs:

In a medium bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of the sugar, the shortening and the egg; sift together flour, baking powder, salt and the nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Fill greased muffin pan 2/3 full.
