  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine - 1/3 c
  • margarine, melted - 1/2 c

How to make french breakfast muffins:

Grease 15 medium muffin cups. Mix margarine, 1/2 cup sugar and egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with milk. Fill cups 2/3 full. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Immediately after baking, roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
