Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • packed brown sugar - 1/3 c
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • margarine or butter - 2 Tbsp
  • Bisquick - 1/2 c
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • sliced pared tart apples - 6 c
  • firm margarine or butter - 3 Tbsp

How to make french apple pie:

Streusel:1 c. Bisquick1/2 c. chopped nuts1/3 c. packed brown sugar3 Tbsp. firm margarine or butter Heat oven to 325°. Grease 10 x 1 1/2-inch pie plate. Mix apples and spices. Turn into plate. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth (15 seconds in blender on high) or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour into plate. Sprinkle with streusel. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 60 minutes.

Streusel: Mix Bisquick, nuts, brown sugar and margarine until crumbly.
