French apple cobbler
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- soft margarine - 1 Tbsp
- slightly beaten egg - 1 item
- peeled, sliced tart apples - 5 c
How to make french apple cobbler:
Batter:1/2 c. all-purpose flour1/2 c. sugar1/2 tsp. baking powder1/4 tsp. salt2 Tbsp. soft margarine1 slightly beaten egg Stir all of the filling ingredients together and put into a baking dish. Dot with the 1 tablespoon soft margarine.In a medium bowl, combine the batter ingredients. Fold until mixed well. Drop batter in portions on apple mixture, spacing evenly. Batter will spread during baking. Bake at 325° for 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are fork-tender. Serve with ice cream.
