Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 T
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- soft butter - 1 T
- softened butter - 2 T
- cup sugar - 1/2 item
- cups sugar - 3/4 item
- cups peeled sliced apples - 5 item
- BATTER:1/2 cup flour
How to make french apple cobbler:
BATTER:1/2 cup flour1/2 cup sugar1/2 tsp. baking powder1/4 tsp. salt2 T. softened butter1 egg Make filling. In medium bowl combine, apples sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, and 1/4 cup water. Turn into a 9 x 9 x 1 3/4 baking dish. Dot with butter. In medium bowl combine all ingredients for batter. Mix well with wooden spoon. Drop 9 portions of batter on apples, spaced evenly. Will spread during baking. Bake 30 - 40 minutes or until apples are fork tender and crust is golden brown.
