Freezer spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 3 item
- olive oil - 1/4 c
- chopped parsley - 1/4 c
- dried oregano - 1 Tbsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- dried basil - 1 Tbsp
- each cans tomato paste - 3 oz
- 7 to 9 fresh tomatoes, peeled and pureed - 3 lb
How to make freezer spaghetti sauce:
In large saucepan, heat olive oil until hot. Add garlic and onion and cook until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer gently, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until thickness desired. Cool and package in meal size portions.
