Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • onions, sliced - 1 c
  • white vinegar - 1 c
  • mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
  • green and red peppers, chopped - 1 c
  • fresh pickles - 8 c

How to make freezer pickles:

Slice pickles very thin. Mix pickles with peppers, onions and salt and let stand for 1 hour. Drain. Stir together sugar, celery seed, vinegar and mustard seed until sugar is dissolved. Pour over pickles and place in freezer containers. Freeze. If refrigerated, pickles will keep 2 to 3 weeks.
