Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- eggs - 8 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- butter
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter - 1 item
- bananas - 3 item
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- cut into 3/4-inch slices - 16 slices
How to make freezer french toast:
Sauce:1/3 c. butter1/3 c. brown sugar1/3 c. orange juice3 bananas Beat together eggs, milk and sugar. Add vanilla and nutmeg in large bowl. Place bread slices on rimmed baking sheet. Pour egg mixture over bread and let stand 5 minutes. Let stand until egg mixture is absorbed. Freeze, uncovered, until firm. Transfer frozen slices to airtight container. Place toast on pan. Brush with butter. Bake at 450° for 8 minutes. Turn slices, brush with butter and bake 10 minutes, or until light brown.Sauce: Melt butter, brown sugar and orange juice. Stir until dissolved and thickened.
