Fourth of july cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- baking powder - 6 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sliced strawberries - 1 pt
- blueberries - 1 pt
- large bowl Cool Whip - 1 item
How to make fourth of july cake:
Put the first 8 ingredients in bowl; mix by hand until smooth. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° until cake tester comes out clean (about 45 minutes to 1 hour). When cake is cool, slice into 2 layers and remove top layer. Sprinkle 1/2 of each kind of berry over bottom layer. Replace top layer. Spread whipped topping on top. Arrange remaining berries to look like the American flag (small rows of blueberries in a small square in upper left hand corner and strawberries in horizontal rows across the rest of the cake).Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
